Paul Weitz, the man who brought us such films as American Pie and the terrific In Good Company, is back at it again as he ventures into the realm of political satire in American Dreamz. He takes an all-star cast full of unique personalities as he creates an ensemble comedy that intersperses the political machine with television entertainment.
Hugh Grant will star in the film as a British television personality, while Dennis Quaid will portray a U.S. president in the midst of a nervous breakdown. All of this takes place against the backdrop of a show called American Dreamz, a super popular television singing contest. (Kim Hollis/BOP)
