TV scribe hired to write Shrek spinoff

TV writer Tom Wheeler will pen the Shrek spinoff, Puss in Boots, for DreamWorks. The character, voiced by Antonio Banderas, first appeared in Shrek 2. He went on to become part of the ogre's group of friends. An earlier draft of Puss in Boots was turned in by Chris Miller, who co-directed and co-wrote Shrek the Third.
