Soderbergh to reteam with Pitt in book adaptation?
Steven Soderbergh is in talks to helm Moneyball after David Frankel detached himself from the project. Brad Pitt, whose been in talks to star in the film since October, is still circling the project. The duo previously worked together on the Ocean's 11 movies.

Columbia wants Brad Pitt for baseball pic
Columbia is eying an adaptation of Michael Lewis' nonfiction bestseller, Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game, as a potential star vehicle for Brad Pitt. Steve Zaillian is already on board to adapt, and David Frankel will direct. The story is about Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane, who used computer-based analysis to assemble a contending baseball team.
