Popular series jumps to the silver screen
The History Channel's hit reality series Ice Road Truckers will get the big screen treatment. Twentieth Century Fox closed a deal to bring the series to movie theaters as the basis for a feature action film. Starting as merely a special and blossoming into the network's highest-rated series, Ice Road Truckers follows 18-wheeler drivers who haul equipment and supplies over a 350-mile ice highway to diamond miners in Canada's Northwest Territory.
