Trio join Chess match
Alessandro Nivola, David Oyelowo and Jon Abrahams signed on to Chess, a biopic about music impresario and renowned record company executive Leonard Chess. Nivola will play the title character, Abrahams his brother Phil, and Oyelowo will be Muddy Waters, a music industry big name whose career was jump-started by Chess. It was penned by Peter Wortmann and Bob Conte, and will be directed by Jerry Zaks. Production is expected to begin in March.
