Heroes star joins coming-of-age comedy
Hayden Panettiere (NBC's Heroes) will topline Daydream Nation, a teen comedy from writer Michael Goldbach (Childstar). Producers claim they are trying to reinvent the coming-of-age story for the 21st century, in which Panettiere will play an acerbic teen. Kieran Culkin (Igby Goes Down) is in negotiations to play her boyfriend. The film, expected to begin shooting later this year, marks Goldbach's directorial debut.
