Barker to bring Blood to the big screen
British horror author Clive Barker struck a deal with Matador Pictures and his own Midnight Picture Show to bring his horror fiction collection, Books of Blood, to the big screen. The series consists of six collections of horror stories that were published between 1984 and 1985. The first film in the series will be lifted from Book 1's first story, in which a paranormal expert finds a house that transports souls to the afterlife. John Harrison (Tales From the Darkside: The Movie) will direct from a script penned by himself and newbie Darin Silverman. Barker will produce.
