Messing takes a walk in the Park
Debra Messing (USA's The Starter Wife) added herself to the cast of the Latino family drama Humboldt Park, to be directed by Alfredo De Villa (Washington Heights). In it, the former Will & Grace star will play the wife of John Lequizamo's character, joining him on a trip to his parents' home.

Trio join family reunion bandwagon
Jay Hernandez (American Son), Melonie Diaz (Hamlet 2) and Alfred Molina (Spider-Man 2) will star in Humboldt Park, a family comedy from director Alfredo De Villa (Washington Heights). The story, written by Rick Najera, Alison Swan and Ted Perkins-Lopez, is about a holiday family reunion in Humboldt Park, a Chicago neighborhood. John Leguizamo (Love in the Time of Cholera) and Freddie Rodriguez (Planet Terror) also star. Shooting is expected to begin this month.

Leguizamo joins family drama
John Leguizamo (Love in the Time of Cholera) and Freddy Rodriguez (Grindhouse) joined the cast of Humboldt Park, a family drama to be directed by Alfredo De Villa (Washington Heights). The film, planned for a fall 2008 release, focuses on a family reunion in a Chicago neighborhood over the holidays. A trio of writers -- Rick Najera, Ted Perkins and Alison Swan -- wrote the screenplay.
