Enron pic lands director
Robert Schwentke (The Time Traveler’s Wife) will direct Conspiracy of Fools, a drama based on Kurt Eichenwald's book about the Enron scandal. Penned by Sheldon Turner (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning), the film is about a tax attorney who uncovers layers of greed and fraudulent accounting after taking a position within the energy company in Houston.

WB and Leo to Make Enron Story
Warner Bros. has greenlit a film adaptation of Conspiracy of Fools, a book from New York Times reporter Kurt Eichenwald, about the rise and fall of Enron. Leonardo DiCaprio will star in and produce the picture. He will play a young employee at the Houston energy company who slowly begins to uncover the layers of corruption, greed, and fraud within Enron. The fall was very swift and the company went bankrupt in 2001, with several of its executives since tried and imprisoned on criminal charges. The story was previously documented in documentary Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room.
