Martin to play Gaye
Jesse L. Martin will play Marvin Gaye in the biopic Sexual Healing. Lauren Goodman will direct the story of Gaye's final years. After a long period of battling drugs and troubles with Motown, he exiled himself to Europe. While there, promoter Freddy Cousaert helped him record his biggest-selling album, Midnight Love (which featured the hit Sexual Healing). Gaye died the day before his 45th birthday in 1984 when his father killed him.
