Shrek scribe to adapt Percy
Joe Stillman (Shrek) has been hired by Fox 2000 to write the adaptation of the children's book Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. The original book was written by Rick Riordan. The story centers on the son of the God of the Ocean Poseidon, a 12-year-old boy who sets out on a quest in the modern-day world. His tasks include rescuing his mother, returning Zeus' stolen lightning bolt, and
stopping a civil war from breaking out amongst the gods.
