Carrey, Gyllenhaal star in first musical
Jim Carrey and Jake Gyllenhaal are both attached to star in New Line Cinema's Damn Yankees, a contemporized film transfer of the classic 1955 musical. Adapted by Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel, the story is about a happily married man (Gyllenhaal) whose devotion to a baseball team forces him to make a bargain with the devil (Carrey) to help the team.
