Ann-Margret believes in Santa
Ann-Margret has joined the cast of The Santa Clause 3. She'll play Tim Allen's mother-in-law in the film, a woman who is extremely critical of her daughter.

Short hates Santa
Martin Short is in negotiations to play the villain in Disney's The Santa Clause 3. He would play Jack Frost, who is trying to take over Christmas from Santa Claus. Allen would return as Santa, who is struggling to keep his new family happy even as he must contend with the trouble with Jack Frost.

Director aboard Santa Clause 3
Walt Disney Pictures has hired Michael Lembeck (Connie and Carla) to direct The Santa Clause 3. Tim Allen will return for the role he originated in the first two films. The studio is looking to release the film over the holidays in 2006. Ed Decter and John Strauss are writing the screenplay. In the third film, Santa - or Scott Calvin - struggles to keep his new family happy even as he is forced to battle Jack Frost, who is looking to take Christmas under his own control.
