SPC buys latest Woody Allen film
Sony Pictures Classics struck a deal with Woody Allen on his latest comedy, Whatever Works. The studio previously bought the rights to the famed director's music-themed movie, Sweet & Lowdown, 10 years ago. Starring Ed Begley Jr., Patricia Clarkson, Larry David and Evan Rachel Wood, Whatever Works is about the relationship between an older man and younger woman, and the strains such a relationship has on the woman's parents.
