Nick Fury role goes to Samuel L. Jackson
Samuel L. Jackson will play Nick Fury in Iron Man 2, and potentially many other films. His character is the leader of the espionage unit the Shield. Jackson's deal with Marvel Entertainment has the actor playing Fury in nine future superhero films, including Captain America, Thor, The Avengers and The Shield, as well as potential sequels.

Emily Blunt to play the Black Widow?
While Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell are negotiating deals to appear as key villains in Iron Man 2, Emily Blunt as well has joined the rumor circle. The actress (The Devil Wears Prada) may play femme fatal Black Widow, yet another nemesis to Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.)

Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell eye villainous roles
Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell may star as the bad guys in Iron Man 2, to be directed by Jon Favreau. Both actors are in talks to play the roles of Ivan/Whiplash (Rourke) and Justin Hammer (Rockwell). Paramount is eying a spring start date in Manhattan Beach.

Don Cheadle takes over for Terrence Howard
Don Cheadle will replace Terrence Howard in the Iron Man sequel. Marvel could not be reached for comment, but Howard's dispute is believed to be over financial differences, among other reasons. Jon Favreau will return as director, and both Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow are expected back.

Justin Theroux to write Iron Man 2?
Justin Theroux is in final talks to pen Iron Man 2, which Paramount wants in theaters on April 30, 2010. Though primarily an actor, Theroux's writing credits include next month's action-comedy, Tropic Thunder. Original director Jon Favreau is also in negotiations to helm the sequel.
