Cloverfield success spawns Columbia copycat
Following the successful release of J.J. Abrams' monster movie Cloverfield, Columbia is pushing forward with Battle: Los Angeles, a sci-fi spec script it acquired from scribe Chris Bertolini (The General's Daughter). The story, which thankfully will not be shot from a handheld camera point-of-view, is about a Marine platoon's battle against an L.A. alien invasion.
