Lionsgate goes 3-D for second time
The CG-animated feature Alpha and Omega, from Lionsgate, will be a 3-D release. The film is expected to be released on April 16, 2010. Alpha and Omega marks the studio's second 3-D project. The first, My Bloody Valentine 3-D, is expected to be released on January 16, 2009.

Panettierre, Long howl at CG flick
A slew of actors will lend their voices to Alpha and Omega, a CG-animated family comedy currently in production by Lionsgate and Crest Animation Prods. Justin Long, Hayden Panettierre, Christina Ricci, Danny Glover, Larry Miller and Dennis Hopper all landed roles in the feature, about two bickering wolves (Panettiere and Long) who are captured and taken from their home. They then begin a dangerous trek back to their homeland, and discover love in the process. Written by Chris Denk (Shark Bait), the film will be directed by Anthony Bell (The Boondocks) and Ben Gluck (Brother Bear 2).
