Eastwood film gets finalized release date
Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino will bow in theaters on December 17th. For months, Warner Bros. tagged the movie as an unslotted December release. Opening two days later are Will Smith's Seven Pounds and Jim Carrey's Yes Man.

Eastwood to direct and star in WB picture
Clint Eastwood (Letters From Iwo Jima) will direct and star in Gran Torino, a film for Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures. Details of the film , which marks Eastwood's first on screen appearance since 2004's Million Dollar Baby, are being kept tightly under wraps.
