Country star lends vocals to Zucker comedy
Country music star Trace Adkins will portray the Spirit of Christmas Future (aka the Grim Reaper) in American Carol, David Zucker's indie Christmas comedy. In the film, Adkins' character is charged in using his musical abilities to help Scrooge (Kelsey Grammer) avoid a costly end. Jon Voight, Leslie Nielsen and Dennis Hopper also have cameos in the film, which is shooting in L.A. through April 15.

Grammer to portray Ebenezer another time
Kelsey Grammer (Fox's Back to You) will put on his Scrooge shoes a second time when he reprises the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in An American Carol, an indie satire of American culture to be directed by David Zucker (Scary Movie 4). Grammer previously played the character in 2004 in NBC's production of A Christmas Carol. The pic was written by Zucker and Myrna Sokoloff.
