Fox brings in the Bees
Fox Searchlight will oversee production and distribution of The Secret Life of Bees, a big screen adaptation of a best-selling book by Sue Monk Kidd. Queen Latifah (Stranger Than Fiction), Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls) and Sophie Okonedo (Martian Child) already signed on to in the film, about two young friends who escape their home and seek to uncover the mysteries concerning on of their parents. Gina Prince-Bythewood (Love & Basketball) will direct from her own script.
