Two more join The Stepfather
Jon Tenney (TNT's The Closer) and Amber Heard (Never Back Down) signed on for roles in The Stepfather, a remake of the horror-thriller from 1987. The film, scripted by J.S. Cardone, revolves around a boy (Penn Badgley) who finds out his soon-to-be stepfather (Nip/Tuck's Dylan Walsh) may have been the man responsible for murdering his previous family. Tenney will be the boy's father and Heard his boyfriend. Rounding out the cast is Sela Ward (The Guardian) as the mother.

Stepfather gets remake treatment
Production is slated to begin in March or April on The Stepfather, a Nelson McCormick-directed remake of the 1987 thriller. The film, scripted by J.S. Cardone, revolves around a boy (Penn Badgley) who finds out his soon-to-be stepfather may have been the man responsible for murdering his previous family. Sela Ward (The Guardian) will play the mother, and if signed, Adrianne Palicki would play the boy's girlfriend. Dylan Walsh (Nip/Tuck) rounds out the cast.
