Macdonald takes on Roman epic
Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland) will direct the Roman drama The Eagle of the Ninth, which is adapted by Jeremy Brock from the 1954 novel by Rosemary Sutcliff. The story takes place in Britain during the second century A.D. and follows an injured Roman soldier and his Celtic slave.
