Cable Guy Enters Witless Protection
Dan Whitney (a.k.a. Larry the Cable Guy) will star in Witless Protection, a comedy from writer-director Charles Carner. The screenplay is about a small-town sheriff who witnesses a kidnapping (or so he thinks) and rushes to rescue the woman. But the kidnappers are actually FBI agents assigned to protect her and take her to testify in a major trial. Or, actually the agents are bad guys who are trying to kill her. The rest of the cast includes Ivana Milicevic, Yaphet Kotto, Peter Stormare, Joe Mantegna and Eric Roberts. Production will begin soon in the Chicago area.
