Rhames joins Willis in sci-fi thriller
Ving Rhames (The Gift), Radha Mitchell (Henry Poole Is Here) and Rosamund Pike (An Education) joined the already signed Bruce Willis in The Surrogates, a Disney sci-fi thriller based on the graphic novel by Robert Venditti. Production is expected to begin in late April.

Disney Gets Rights to Surrogates
Walt Disney has obtained the film rights to graphic novel The Surrogates. The story will be turned into a sci-fi thriller by director Jonathan Mostow (U-571, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines). The graphic novel is published by Top Shelf Comix and written by Robert Venditti with illustrations by Brett Weldele. It is set in the future, in a world where humans live isolated lives and "interact vicariously, through surrogate robots." Michael Ferris and John Brancato will write the adaptation; the pair teamed with Mostow on Terminator 3.
