Reilly to rock the country
Producer Judd Apatow (Knocked Up) is using an unusual marketing ploy for his newest comedy feature, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. The film's star, John C. Reilly (Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby), will perform live as Cox with his band, the Hard Walkers, during a multiple-city domestic music tour. It kicks off Wednesday in Cleveland and will eventually hit Chicago, Austin, Nashville, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. The comedy opens on screens on Dec. 21.

SNL's Wiig to Walk Hard
Saturday Night Live comedian Kristen Wiig is in final negotiations to join the cast of Walk Hard for Columbia Pictures. The comedy is being produced by Judd Apatow (The 40 Year-Old Virgin) and directed by Jake Kasdan (Orange County). The pair also wrote the story, which is about a singer (John C. Reilly) who beats the odds to become a music legend. Wiig will play Reilly's charcter's wife. Jenna Fischer is also in the cast.
