Sandler to Star in Comedy
Columbia Pictures is close to buying the You Don't Mess With the Zohan, a script from Judd Apatow (The 40 Year-Old Virgin), Robert Smigel (Triumph the Insult Comic Dog) and Adam Sandler. Sandler is attached to star in the comedy about a Mossadd agent who fakes his death so that he can move to New York and become a hair stylist. Smigel is working on a rewrite, with shooting set to begin this summer and plans for a summer 2008 release. Happy Madison is producing.
