Universal makes major changes to 2009 slate
Universal shifted around three of its projects for 2009. Fast and Furious moved up from June 12th to April 3rd, horror franchise hopeful The Wolfman got bumped from April 3rd to November 6th and Nottingham was removed from 2009 entirely. The studio is now eying a 2010 release for the movie. Universal justified the moves by stating the following:
* Fast and Furious is already completed
* The Wolfman's November 6th date gives the movie more of a high-profile release
* Nottingham won't even start lensing until February/March

Ridley Scott's film put on indefinite hiatus
Ridley Scott's revisionist take on Robin Hood, titled Nottingham, has been postponed. A new start date probably won't be set until sometime next year. The decision was made due to concerns with the project's script and shooting locations, as well as the current labor unrest. Nottingham was originally scheduled to be released on Nov. 6, 2009.

Sienna Miller likes Robin Hood update
Sienna Miller is in talks to star alongside Russell Crowe in Nottingham. If signed, the actress would play Maid Marion in Ridley Scott's revisionist take on the Robin Hood legend.

Crowe to Star in Robin Hood Pic
Russell Crowe will star in Nottingham for Universal Pictures, a revisionist story of the Robin Hood tale from writers Ethan Reiff and Cryus Voris (Bulletproof Monk; Sleeper Cell). In a departure from the traditional story of Robin Hood being good by stealing from the rich to give to the poor, in this version Robin Hood isn't quite as noble and nice as the public would like to think. Crowe will play the Sheriff of Nottingham, who is more likeable and virtuous than normal. The story also includes a love triangle between Robin Hood, Maid Marion, and the sheriff. Image Entertainment's Brian Grazer will produce the movie.
