Black Gives MGM Pleasure
MGM has obtained the North American distribution rights to writer-director Michael Ian Black's The Pleasure of Your Company. The film is Black's feature directing debut. The romantic comedy recently had it's world premier at the Toronto International Film Festival. It is about an unlucky guy (Jason Biggs) who dresses up as Cupid in order to propose to her, but ends up scaring her to death. Later, with some prodding from a friend he tries again and spontaneously proposes to a waitress (Isla Fisher), leading to further hijinks. Others in the cast include Edward Herrmann, Joe Pantoliano, Joanna Gleason, Margo Martindale and Rob Corddry.
