Craig and Moore to Star in Blindness?
Daniel Craig and Julianne Moore are in discussions to star in Blindness, a thriller from director Fernando Meirelles for Focus Features. The story is about an epidemic of blindness that hits an unnamed city and soon threatens the collapse of society. Don McKellar wrote the script from a novel by Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago.

Meirelles Has Eyes for Blindness
Fernando Meirelles (City of God; The Constant Gardener) will direct Blindness, an English-language film based on the 1995 novel by Portuguese Nobel Prize winner Jose Saramago. The book is a philosophical thriller, where a strange epidemic of blindness inflicts a city and pushes society near the brink of collapse. Canadian auteur Don McKellar wrote the script and will also take a supporting role, though no other roles have been cast at this time.
