Branagh to Remake Sleuth
Kenneth Branagh will direct, and Jude Law and Michael Caine will star in Sleuth, a remake of a 1972 film based on a play by Anthony Shaffer. The story is a drama about two men vying for the affections of the same woman. Caine will play a popular thriller writer who becomes so upset at losing his wife to a young hairdresser (Law) that he decides to enact revenge. Interestingly, Caine also starred in the original movie, as the hairdresser and earned an Oscar nod for the role. Harold Pinter (The French Lieutenant's Woman) wrote the new script.
