ThinkFilm Rides Controversial Shortbus
Independent company ThinkFilm has obtained the North American distribution rights to writer-director John Cameron Mitchell's Shortbus. The controversial film, which debuted last month at Cannes, features actual sex. The story concentrates on seven New Yorkers who try to seek an emotional connection with each other, and their lives intersect at a salon called Shortbus. Mitchell's last film was the cult hit Hedwig and the Angry Inch.
