Mulroney Joins Gracie

Dermot Mulroney (The Wedding Date; My Best Friend's Wedding) will join the cast of Gracie, Davis Guggenheim's (An Inconvient Truth) story inspired by events from the childhood of actors Elisabeth and Andrew Shue. Mulroney will play the father of a young girl (Carly Schroeder) who fights to join a boy's soccer team.

Siblings Star in Gracie

Elisabeth Shue will star in Gracie, loosely based on events from her childhood. The movie is directed by her husband Davis Guggenheim, of the Al Gore global warming documentary An Inconvenient Truth. The story is set in 1978 and is about a teenage girl who fights to play on the boys' soccer team after her brother dies. Also starring will be Elisabeth's brother Andrew (Melrose Place) and Carly Schroeder (Mean Creak). Bob Berney's Picturehouse has obtained all North American distribution rights to the film, which is scheduled to begin filming in late summer.
