Nia Vardalos, John Corbett enter another relationship
John Corbett joined the cast of Nia Vardalos' I Hate Valentine's Day. He will star opposite Vardalos, who makes her directorial debut with the film. The story is about a florist (Vardalos) who persuades a restaurant owner (Corbett) to date her on the grounds that he wouldn't be entering anything serious. The pair previously played a couple in My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Production is slated to begin June 23.

Purefoy hates Valentine's Day
James Purefoy is in talks to join the cast of I Hate Valentine's Day, written by and starring Nia Vardalos. The romantic comedy is being directed by Nick Hurran and centers on a woman who has a fear of commitment. She has a set of dating rules that she carefully follows, but they are tested when she falls in love with a British guy who dumps her.

Vardalos hates Valentine's Day
Nia Vardalos is set to re-write the romantic comedy I Hate Valentine's Day for Revolution Studios, and will also star in the film. The movie will explore the idea that Valentine's is a contrived holiday and that people react oddly when romance is forced upon them.
