Watson and Chaplin Ride the Horse
Emily Watson, Ben Chaplin, and Alex Etel have signed on to star in The Water Horse. Principal photography will begin in early May. The special effects for the fantasy picture will be done by Weta Digital and Weta Workshop.

Walden buys a Horse
Walden Media, Beacon Pictures and Revolution Studios will join forces to produce a film based on the kid's fantasy book The Water Horse, by British author Dick King-Smith. Jay Russell will direct from a screenplay by Robert Nelson Jacobs. The movie will combine live-action and CGI. The story follows a lonely boy who lives in Scotland, where he finds a mysterious egg that hatches a "water horse". A water horse is a mythical sea monster that comes from Scottish lore.
