Keys to the Diaries
Popular singer and songwriter Alicia Keys will join the cast of The Nanny Diaries, based on the bestselling novel. She joins a respectable ensemble that includes Scarlett Johansson, Paul Giamatti, Chris Evans, and Laura Linney. Keys will play the role of Johansson's best friend in the film, about a working class woman who goes to Manhattan to nanny for a wealthy family.

Johansson reads Diaries
Scarlett Johansson is in talks to star in the Weinstein Co.'s adaptation of the Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus novel The Nanny Diaries. The story centers on a young woman who spends nine frantic months as the nanny of a neglected four-year-old boy. His mother is a pampered wife, while her husband is hardly ever home. During the time the nanny cares for the child, the marriage falls apart. Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini will adapt the script.
