Sam Jackson to be in Jumper
Samuel L. Jackson (Snakes on a Plane) has joined the cast of director Doug Liman's Jumper. The sci-fi thriller is based on a Steven Gould novel and is about the story of a kid who discovers that he has the ability to teleport. He goes on a quest to track down the man who he believes was responsible for his mother's death and also comes under scrutiny by the National Security Agency, along with another kid who has the same abilities. Others already in the cast include Tom Sturridge (Being Julia), Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) and Teresa Palmer (The Grudge 2).

Liman is a Jumper
Doug Liman will direct Jumper, an adaptation of the Steven Gold novel that is the first of a planned trilogy for New Regency. Jim Uhls (Fight Club) is working an adaptation of the script from one that David Goyer had started. The film series will center on a teenager who discovers that he has the capability of teleporting from one place to another.
