Cast joins Levinson project
Laura Linney and Christopher Walken have signed on to star alongside Robin Williams in Man of the Year. Barry Levinson writes and directs the film, which will have Williams portraying a Jon Stewart-esque talk show host who runs for president as a publicity stunt. It backfires, of course, when he wins. Linney will play the head of a computer company that investigates the election results.

Williams is the Man
Robin Williams will star for Barry Levinson in the Morgan Creek-produced Man of the Year. It will mark the third time they have worked together, as Williams previously starred in Good Morning, Vietnam and Toys. Based on a screenplay Levinson wrote, the movie will have Williams playing a Jon Stewart-esque talk show host who runs for president in an attempt to stir things up on the campaign trail. It all backfires, of course, when he actually wins.
