Madsen is a Number
Virginia Madsen is set to star in The Number 23 for New Line Cinema and director Joel Schumacher. She replaces Elisabeth Shue in the film, which features Jim Carrey in the lead role. Danny Huston and Rhona Mitra also star. Carrey portrays a man who is obsessed by a book that seems to be about his life. Trouble is, it ends with a murder. The number 23 is cryptically woven throughout the plot.

Carrey, Schumacher like 23
Jim Carrey and Joel Schumacher are in talks to team up for New Line's Number 23. The drama, which was written by Fernley Phillips, would have Carrey playing a man who becomes obsessed with a book that seems to be about his life, but ends with murder. The plot intersperses the number 23 throughout. Schumacher and Carrey previously worked together on Batman Forever.
