Cast set for Astronaut Farmer
Virginia Madsen, Bruce Willis and Bruce Dern have all joined the cast of the Warner Independent Pictures film Astronaut Farmer. The Polish brothers are heading up the film, which has Billy Bob Thornton starring as a strange farmer who dreams of space travel and sets about building a rocket ship in his barn. His neighbors think he's weird, the government views him as a threat, and the media sees him as a human interest story. Madsen will play Thornton's wife, Willis will play a former NASA colleague and Dern is set to portray Madsen's father. Michael Polish is directing the movie from a screenplay he co-wrote with his brother Mark.

Thornton is an Astronaut
Billy Bob Thornton is set to star in Astronaut Farmer for the Polish brothers. The twin brothers, Michael and Mark, wrote the film and are set to also produce the project for Warner Independent Pictures. Michael Polish will direct the satirical comedy, and are currently looking for a lead actress. The movie centers on an astronaut who must leave NASA in an effort to save his family farm. However, he's still stuck on his dream of space travel and plans to build his own rocket even as the government tries to stop him.
