Craig sees an Invasion
Daniel Craig (Layer Cake) will star alongside Nicole Kidman in Warner Bros.' Invasion. The movie will begin shooting next month and will have Craig playing a doctor who will attempt to help Kidman try to determine how to save her son from being taken over by aliens. The child's fate may determine whether or not the entire human race becomes similarly infected.

Kidman is part of an Invasion
Nicole Kidman is set to star in Invasion for Warner Bros., and is expected to be paid around $16 million for her participation. The movie will be the first English-language feature for director Oliver Hirshbiegel, whose film Downfall, a imagining of the last days of Hitler, has so far grossed $87 million worldwide. Based on a screenplay by David Kajganich, the story will revolve around a dark, behavior-changing epidemic that threatens to undo the entire human race. Kidman will play a Washington, D.C. psychiatrist who learns that extraterrestrials are the force behind this invasion, and works to protect her son, who may be the key to unraveling their plans. Although the film was originally intended to be a remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Kajganich's script was so different that it is now being considered an original.
