Keith Richards to Appear in Third Pirates Film
After numerous rumors and speculation since the first film was released, Rolling Stone legend Keith Richards will officially have a role in Pirates of the Caribbean: At The World's End, the third film in the mega-popular Disney franchise. Star Johnny Depp once admitted that his character of Jack Sparrow was, in part, based on Richards. No details about his character are available at this time. The film will be released in May, on the heels of the record-setting second film and the principal members of the cast are all returning. In addition to Depp, are Orlando Bloom, Keira Knightley, Geoffrey Rush, Bill Nighy, and new member Chow Yun-Fat. Gore Verbinski will again be directing.

Chow ready to be a Pirate

At the moment, director Gore Verbinski has the shoot on a planned hiatus so that he can prepare parts of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest for post-production. It's planned for a July 2006 release. Pirates 3 will be released in Summer 2007.
