Fox brings back The Omen

20th Century Fox has hired John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines) to direct a remake of the 1976 horror classic The Omen, to be titled The Omen 666. The original film told the story of the Antichrist's arrival in the home of an unsuspecting family. Dan McDermott is writing a screenplay to update the story for the 21st century. The first film starred Gregory Peck as an ambassador with a dark secret. When his wife (Lee Remick) loses a baby during childbirth, he allows another child to be substituted as his own. That decision eventually proves to be a poor one, as the son is evil and the child of Satan.
