New Line goes for Fried Worms
New Line Cinemas and Walden Media will produce an adaptation of the classic young adult book How to Eat Fried Worms, by Thomas Rockwell. Bob Dolman will both write and direct. The story centers on the trials and tribulations of pre-adolescents, with an 11-year-old boy finding himself the target of a bully at school. After being dared to eat 10 worms in a day, the young man finds a variety of ways to prepare them so that they're bearable, meaning that the balance of power in the school shifts.
