Caviezel is the Outlander
Jim Caviezel (The Passion of the Christ) will star in Outlander, a sci-fi adventure from the Weinstein Co. The story is about a man from another galaxy who crashes onto Earth back during the time period of the old Vikings. He accidently brings with him an alien predator, which he tries to destroy with help from the Vikings. Sophia Myles and Jack Huston are in talks to join the cast as well.

Weinsteins add more projects
The Weinsteins have added the science fiction film Outlander to the production slate for their new company, WeinsteinCo. Karl Urban (Doom) is currently in talks to topline the movie, which centers on a man from another galaxy who crash lands on Earth during the time the Vikings roamed the world, bringing with him an alien predator. Howard McCain is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Dirk Blackman.
