Actors into Norbit
A bevy of actors including Thandie Newton, Cuba Gooding Jr., Eddie Griffin, and Terry Crews have signed on to join Eddie Murphy in Norbit. The movie is currently in production.

New helmer for Norbit
Brian Robbins is in talks to direct the Eddie Murphy comedy Norbit for DreamWorks. He would replace Rawson Marshall Thurber, who had to drop out due to a conflict with his schedule. The movie will have Murphy starring as Norbit, a timid guy who is pressured into marrying a horrible woman (also portrayed by Murphy). Soon, Norbit meets the real woman of his dreams and must try to determine a way to be with her. The original screenplay was written by Eddie Murphy and his brother Charlie Murphy, and then saw a rewrite from Jay Scherick and David Ronn.

Director hired for Norbit
Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story) is set to direct Norbit (formerly known as Death Do Us Part) for DreamWorks. The movie will star Eddie Murphy as multiple characters. The story centers on a guy named Norbit (Murphy) who is forced to marry a hideous woman (also played by Murphy). He meets the woman of his dreams, and becomes determined to find a way to be with her. The original script was written by Eddie and Charlie Murphy, with rewrites from Jay Scherick and David Ronn.
