DreamWorks abuzz about Bee Movie
DreamWorks has set a release date of November 2, 2007 for the CGI animated Bee Movie, to feature the voices of Renee Zellweger and Jerry Seinfeld. In addition to "starring" in the film, Seinfeld also wrote the screenplay and will produce. Other voice cast will include Uma Thurman, Kathy Bates, Alan Arkin, Robert Duvall, William H. Macy, Tim Blake Nelson, Patrick Warburton and Oprah Winfrey, with Matthew Broderick in talks for a role as well. Steve Hickner and Simon J. Smith will direct the comedic story about Barry B. Benson, a bee who has just graduated from college and is unhappy with the only career choice available to him - honey. When he takes a rare trip to the city, he is rescued by a florist when he is in need of help. Realizing how much honey is consumed by the human race, he decides to sue the big people for theft.
