Murray back for more Garfield
Bill Murray is in talks to reprise his role as the voice of Garfield in 20th Century Fox's Garfield 2. Breckin Meyer and Jennifer Love Hewitt have already signed on to return, although Hewitt will have a smaller role this time around due to her commitment to filming the upcoming CBS series Ghost Whisperer. Additionally, Lucy Davis and Billy Connolly will join the cast. Davis will play an animal lover named Abby Westminster, a professional, fashionable woman who is attempting to try to trap Lord Dargis (Connelly) into revealing some nefarious plans.

Garfield to eat more lasagna
20th Century Fox has hired a director to helm the sequel to Garfield: The Movie. Tim Hill, who previously worked on Max Keeble's Big Move and Muppets in Space will be at the helm of the next adaptation of the Jim Davis comic strip. The first film was able to make $75 million at the domestic box office, pulling in an additional $114 million overseas. It starred Breckin Meyer, Jennifer Love Hewitt, and had Bill Murray providing the voice of the cat.
