Milian has a Pulse

Christina Milian has joined the cast of Pulse for The WeinsteinCo. The remake of the cult Japanese director Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Kairo, the film also stars Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars), Ian Somerhalder, Samm Levine and Rick Gonzalez. Wes Craven and Ray Wright adapted the screenplay, and Jim Sonzero directs. The movie centers on a Web site that is powered by an evil force. When users go to the site, it is given more and more power, and a portal to evil is allowed to be opened. A group of college kids soon see the deaths of their fellow classmates as a result. Milian will play Bell's best friend.

Somerhalder gets a Pulse

Ian Somerhalder (Lost) is in talks to join the cast of Pulse, a horror film from director Jim Sonzero and Dimension Films. The movie is based on the Japanese horror flick Kairo and centers on college students who find that a friend of theirs has accidentally hacked a pirated signal that allows a malevolent being to pass over into their world. As it spreads, it consumes everything in its path, and they must find a way to stop it. Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) and Steve Talley also star in the Ray Wright-scripted film.

Kristen Bell shows her Pulse

Kristen Bell (Veronica Mars) will star along with newcomer Steve Talley in Pulse. The project will be one of the first ones to emerge from the new company that will be set up by Harvey and Bob Weinstein after their contract with Walt Disney and Miramax expires. Jim Sonzero, who has previously worked in commercials, will make his feature film directorial debut.
