Giamatti, Bellucci go for Shoot
Paul Giamatti and Monica Bellucci are in talks to join the cast of Shoot 'Em Up, the ultra-violent, hardcore project from director/writer Michael Davis. They would join Clive Owen in the film that starts with a woman having a baby during a shootout. The man who delivers the baby (called simply Mr. Smith) is entrusted with protecting the child from an army of gunmen. Owen would play Mr. Smith, Giamatti would portray the villain who is wanted the baby killed, and Bellucci would be Owen's love interest.

Owen will Shoot-Em-Up
Clive Owen is in final talks to star in the ultra violent Shoot-Em-Up for New Line Cinema. Once he signs on the dotted line, the movie will officially be greenlit. Michael Davis is directing from his own screenplay, which would feature Owen as a shadowy man out to protect a newborn baby from the criminals who are wanting to kill it. Numerous violent scenes are planned, including a shootout during a sex scene and another that takes place during a freefall.

New Line will Shoot-Em-Up
New Line Cinema has hired Michael Davis to direct his own action screenplay Shoot-Em-Up. The violent film will center on a mysterious man who is trying to protect a newborn child from criminals who are trying to kill it.
