Pang Brothers are in Darkness
Platinum Studios and Blue Star Pictures have hired the Pang brothers (The Eye) to direct an adaptation of the graphic novel The Darkness. The project is currently under option at Miramax, though its distribution future is unclear since that deal was made when the Weinsteins were still at the studio. Now that the Pang brothers have come aboard, the search for a writer will begin.

Dimension goes back to The Darkness
Dimension Films, an arm of distributor Miramax, has set up a deal to develop Platinum Studios' The Darkness (not to be confused with Dimension's upcoming horror release The Dark - formerly known as The Darkness) as a feature film. The comic book adaptation centers on a 21-year-old former assassin who inherits an unholy family secret. He has a power known as "the darkness" that will change his life. The book has sold more than one million copies worldwide and will also be
developed as a videogame property.
